Old Hindi Songs

Hindi is a language originated from Sanskrit through the Middle Indo Aryan Prakrit and the Middle Ages Apabhramsha. It was popularly known as Hindustani during the Mughal Period and further became popular as Hindi.

Gradually, the language was being accepted by various regions of the country and people started writing scripts, literature and even songs in Hindi.

The great Hindi songs are believed to be a reflection of Indian diversity and some take it as words from the Vedas. The early songs were propagated by Ustads like Amir Khusrau, Tansen, and Saigal and later the trend was shifted to current day singers Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh and Anuradha Paudwal.

Though these songs are the oldest of the Hindi movies, they have their unique charm even today. Many youngsters still love hearing to these olden goldies because they enjoy the softness and calmness of these old songs.

Some of the Indian populace even feels that old songs have a unique power to give strength to the inner being and eternal bliss to the soul. This is because of the touching fascination that these songs have. The ingredients that make these songs just beautiful are lyrics, rhythm, beats, node, chords, dynamics and sonic traits.

In the olden days, these songs were used as a tool to spread message of harmony and peace and today the same songs are used as an essential tool to convey love and friendship.

Old Hindi songs are as old as the Indian heritage but still have a new freshness in their lyrics and beats.
